I love how the people are all fat and have short little legs.

That movie is awesome!

I enjoyed the movie and the characters, but was annoyed at the overly obvious enviro-hysteria propaganda in it.

It would take literally hundreds of thousands if not millions of years for humans to accumulate so much trash, that it filled the entire planet. If the US were to continue producing landfill waste at our present rate, 1000 years worth of trash would fill a space 35 miles square and 200 feet deep. That's it. A tiny dot on a map of the US. The landfill crisis is a myth.

And not all humans would be able to remain sedentary or become obese in any given environment... which explains why in our given environment today, some are skinny, some are chubby and and some are obese.

It was political and social propaganda wrapped in a child's film, which I find rather disturbing.

You know what else isn't entirely accurate? Tom and Jerry cartoons.

Tom and Jerry didn't overtly introduce social and political propaganda/hysteria to kids.

I would say Wall-E is more like the children's version of "An Inconvenient Truth." It is political/social activism and hysteria wrapped in a child's film.

I kind of agree with you but hey, what do you expect from a Walt Disney movie.

Hmmmm, I thought the movie was just "meh." Beautiful looking (Blu-ray), but nothing fantastic IMO.

I just liked how they went with the eco-hysteria/anti-consumerism on one hand while also pushing Wall-E toys, Wall-E DVDs, Wall-E lunchboxes, Wall-E everything on the other.

Really cute movie and really well done by Pixar as always. But when you look at the message and then look at the actions it's really off-putting.

Yes, the trash was a bit of a hyperbole as was the fat people who no longer even saw people face to face. However, no matter what you think teaching kids to waste less is a good idea. How is it bad if kids learn to try and recycle or not to litter? I fail to see a downside.

I just ignored the propaganda and focused on the fact that the movie was very enjoyable to watch and worth the money i forked out for me and my GF to go see it over the summer :)

sheesh, take a break from life for a minute. It is a movie for fun. It isn't trying to do anything but make people enjoy what they are watching.

Yeah.. Heaven forbid they encourage kids to care about their planet and themselves.

I thought it was a great movie until Wall-E left Earth. The movie took a huge downturn when he got on the ship with all the humans on it.

Yeah, and while we're at it, we better be not let our kids see Mad Magazine, for preaching the propaganda of Jews and Commies! Or Pinnochio, cause it was a huge exaggeration to assume that smoking a cigar would lead to being kidnapped. Talk about pandering to the health nuts (and don't get me started on Popeye)! Or Bambi, with all that ridiculous animal-rights, anti-gun hysteria. So disturbing!

We have to protect our children from the evils of the liberal media! Remotely questioning the status quo is too scary and dangerous! Head for Montana! Lock up the gates of the ranch! Stockpile the ammo! Circle the wagons!

No.... no its not.
It's a children's movie with a suggestion that we need to take care of the planet and not be lazy asses. I teach my kids this every day when they leave the water running while brushing their teeth, waste paper coloring, leave lights on etc.

Do you people think they were trying to be subtle about it? I mean really... it was hardly subtle, and certainly a great message to preach to kids (and any parent watching).

Agreed, but haha, you don't let your kids color??
