Just watched "requiem for a dream" and now i'm freaked out!

Has anyone else seen this movie? MAN, great film making, but BOY OH BOY is it scary stuff.....

and depressing!

I want to see it, but every time I go to Blockbuster it's rented out.

Also I hope the blockbuster version isn't edited, because I don't want to see it if it is.

Edit: Is the DVD at Blockbuster also edited? If it is does anyone have a suggestion of where I can rent the unedited version?

One of my favorite films of all time. Darren is the man. I could go on for like 20 pages about this film, its just so amazing. DONT GET IT FROM BLOCKBUSTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its edited.... and it sucks that way.

Yeah, very depressing movie... even knowing the spoilers won't ruin this movie.. halfway through it i knew exactly how it was going to end, and it was still disturbing (probably more so because i knew it was coming?). Reminds me in some ways of Trainspotting. The media seems to like to glamorize drug use, i'm glad there are movies like this to put things in perspective. I've seen way too many good lives gone wasted because of drugs.

I never saw the film but the director went to my High school. Edward R. Murrow here in Brooklyn, New York. Anyway guys enjoy I heard its a great film.

Yeah, i felt like crap after watching it too... halfway through the movie, i knew how it was going to end... and i knew it was going to be ugly, but yet i still kept watching it.

The edited version at Ballbuster Video isn't that bad. I heard that only one scene was edited out, and I'm sure you can figure out which one.
I was lucky enought to see this during it's first run in the theaters, and the general consensus was massive depression. It sure messed me up for about a week. This might be my favorite film ever, well maybe behind American History X.

The whole movie makes you feel bad. It is such a powerful movie. I will never watch it again. Too scary! It's great...but it's so emotionally draining.

just watched it from netflix the weekend it came out...director's cut with the making of... behind the scenes and stuff eased my mood significantly after watching the film
