Any1 else seen this movie? Its funny how you find random stuff on the movie channels at night and they just suck you in. "Pumpkin" had an interesting plot, but something was missing in the execution to keep it from 'great' to just 'good enough'.
Basically the movie is about a beautiful blonde sorority sister (Ricci) whose perfect world starts crumbling when she finds herself falling in love with a 'special needs' kid from one of her service projects. But this isn't the PG-13 movie it sounds like. She ends up having sex with him and then his mom finds them in bed and accuses her of rape. Her jock boyfriend tries to get even by fvcking every girl in the rival house. I won't give too much away but the whole thing just keeps spiralling down.
This had the potential to be an awesome movie but something was missing. Ricci stood alone without any help from the rest of the cast (though this was probably done to accentuate how 'fake' everyone around her is.) The poetry professor was horribly done, and other plot devices just didn't work out. Music was major suckage but I guess it'd appeal to the whole emo crowd. But in the end I enjoyed it. Of course, part of that was Ricci wearing skintight clothes and no bra in some apparently cold weather.
