all hail gregshin, the man who understands everything, and also the man who thinks he's cool because he wants to be one of the elite few that didn't like the movie, (bows down)

I'm going to see it again on Friday. Actually, I was planning on seeing it for the first time on Friday, but I had to write a paper tonight (am still writing a paper tonight/this morning) and procrastination got the better of me, so off we went tonight. We bought our tickets online, and there were consequently no lines when we got to the theater for the 10:30 showing. It was funny looking at the electronic board depicting the showings, as over half of them seemed to be devoted to the Matrix. I will say I was thoroughly impressed with the movie, and the fact that it sought to tell a whole story instead of just focusing in on the action-rich Matrix itself. I was also impressed with the integration of the Animatrix with it (the Osiris and the high school kid, specifically).

Gawd forbid anyone that has an opinion. And tell me, where does he come off trying to be cool? If anything you are the one that comes off as a smarta$$.

I thought it was awesome...the thing htat pissed me off is there was not really a sense of closure from the to be continued ending. Like the last movie you were kind of hanging but at least it left you off at a point where you were satisfied. Now you're completely left in the dark with 100 questions....

That being said, I like it more than the first one...awesome scenes and it really made me think about things...afterwards we had a few beers and threw ideas and theories out for like 2 hours...

I can't say many movies have made us have discussions like this...

Kind of like Star Wars, huh? "A New Hope" had a beginning, a middle, and a distinct happy ending; "The Empire Strikes Back" looked at new aspects, and ended on a lower note than it started with, while leaving many questions unanswered.
