Fight scenes were not that great. Only good fight was Donnie Yen and Jet Li. The water fight was so badly done. They did close up of their faces throughout the fight and did not concentrate on the fighting at all.

Luckily I was able to see it in theatre when I was in Shanghai last december. IMO, Hero was a lot better than CTHD.

hero has a great plot, cinematography, acting, etc, but it misses one of th emost important things imo... character development! everything happened too fast for such an epic style story... never really got the chance to emotionally connect with the characters. seems like a waste.

true. true. i havent seen it, but my dad said its better than cthd. and i cant watch the nonsubtitled version because the chinese is too advanced for me.

having seen it, i think its the kind of film you should save your first viewing for in the theater. :)

i was bored, uncle had dvd.. grr grr grr!

i will watch it on the big screen when it comes out though:)

maggie chung(sp) is hot:) she's old though right? if so she ages well:)

CTHD was much better than Hero IMO. The way the story unraveled was interesting, but at it's core the story was kinda weak. I just really didn't care about anyone or anything in the story. As far as the action sequances go, neither were all that great compared to pure action movies.
