Just watched Firefly the series

Firefly was an excellent series. To bad Fox had decided to kill it before it was even born. They seem to like to do that with any sci-fi type show. 1st, was Alien Nation. Great show. Then Space... Above and Beyond. Then Firefly. I bet some execs where kicking themselves in the teeth when they saw the Firefly box set sitting on the Amazon top sellers list for a long time.

i have a friend who's not really into the sci-fi type stuff i had him watch Firefly and he really liked it too.

Firefly was the best series on television of the last of the new millenium. Only show so far that even challenges its awesomeness is Heroes.

I am in-love with firefly, and Serenity is awesome, too. It's one of the best, yeah, but I still love Stargate SG-1 the most.

I never saw the series but i did buy the movie with all the recommendations. I didnt like it, was pretty boring and I mean give me a break. To tell the truth it really grabbed me in the beginning and sounded really interesting. I like dystopia stories but then it just got bad imo.

This was one of my favorite sci-fi series of all time. And the movie was great too! I just wish we could see more...

Alien Nation was not canceled in the traditional fox sense. All dramatic series on fox were canceled, not just alien nation. It wasn't canceled mid season either. And eventually they brought it back in movie form.

Firefly was good, not great. Serenity was a big letdown. I simply do not give a crap about the entire storyline of the war machine girl. It's a total sci fi cliche that was done just as poorly as every other incarnation. Firefly managed to mix up a couple of cliched plotlines during the series... not sure why they stuck to an uninspired cliche for the main plot arc.

Without question the best sci-fi series ever attempted...at least the potential was fully there if only it had been given the time. People into sci-fi love it, people who hate sci-fi love it...I have yet to meet in person anyone who doesn't absolutely love it after watching the full series.

Not too dissimilar in concept. Big differences, the virus in 28 Days Later was intentionally created to have the aggression affect and was highly communicable thus lending to the zombielike storyline. Also 28 Days Later baddies couldn't perform even simple tasks, they could only attack, attack, attack. Reavers in Firefly were still capable of continuing existance and operating technology, they were just highly violent. More like sociopaths than zombies.

Its a forum, how about you go back to finishing school and learn how to not be a dick when someone is trying to have general conversation? Every post and discussion on this forum could be answered somewhere else or by a google search but people like to post here and discuss things, thats what people do. Yeah, years ago they had a one-day Space Above and Beyond marathon on the SciFi channel and I just stumbled on to it randomly. I think I saw four episodes, but that's the only time I've ever seen the show.

Edit: Netflix does carry the series.
