I got a copy of the 3.5 hour director's cut. Definately one of the best movies I've ever seen. Ending was quite a suprise...

yea... ironic ending to the film... tough to sit through a movie that long, although its a very good one! :)

Excellent movie -- I finally saw it last year. Great DVD transfer too. My second-favorite German movie, after Wings of Desire.

I have seen the first disc of the 2 disc set and I thought it was pretty slow. I heard it gets better, but I have a hard time of sitting through 3.5 hours of anything.
