We just watched Quantumania in the theater. I'd probably give it an 8 out of 10.
My wife, who really enjoyed both of the previous movies, was less enthused.

Her reaction: "Who wrote this dialogue?" "Where are the funny parts? If they make
another one, I may not watch it." My 13 year old seemed to love it.

I'll admit, it really could have used more humor like the other 2 had. But I get it, they
felt that they had to go serious, since they were essentially introducing the plot
for the next few Avengers movies.....

Did you see it? What would you give it on a scale of 1 to 10?

Been over Marvel movies for a while. Just too much nonsense came out and the franchise is tired to me. Only one I am interested in is the next Guardians movie.

Watched it yesterday in RealD 3D. Agreed 8/10/

Confused why they replaced the actress who played Cassie Lang in Avengers - Endgame.

Nice ending credit scenes, didn't know they had 2 as I about to leave the theatre but stayed just in case.

Also confused how time works in the Quantum Realm.

So how much time has passed on earth while they stayed in the Quantum Realm?
Shouldn't Janet Van Dyne not haved aged during her 30 years disappearance there? But she did concurrent with Hank Pym.
When Scott Lang was stranded there when the snap happened, 5 hours to him, about 5 years on Earth.

cassie lang = scott lang's (ant man) daughter
maybe she's too old for the part?

At 13 years old your kid is about the oldest "demographic" the current round of Marvel's shallow CGI-saturated dreck is aiming at.

Actual fans of the comics are no longer important to these folks only the almighty dollar. They're on the same politically correct generic & "Disneyfied" path to oblivion/irrelevancy as "Star Wars".

I saw it yesterday, and thought it was the opposite. The op Cassie would be too young. Remember those who survived Thanos aged five years.

I felt like they should have had her die, and then Ant Man would have at least initially had a reason for cooperating with Kang.....

Not that I personally care (at all) about seeing this movie BUT somebody else might!

Kindly mind the "un-tagged" spoilers !! ;)

Then you probably haven’t seen the second one either. This is the third film.

i still haven't seen the first one, i need to watch that
Watch the first two. Then prepare your mind for a lot of "ARRRGGHHH!!! WHY DID THEY DO THAT????" before watching the third.

Paul Rudd had no co-writing credit in the third movie. No wonder I was grimacing.

I think we are way past the point where it is easy to assume a new Marvel movie is going to be crap. So why spend the money and time to go to a theater until you really know if you have a nice tv and some sound system at home?

They said fuck quality and just start printing out cash cows quite a bit of time ago.

Initially I was excited about all the Marvel shows/movies on Disney Plus but now I don't even care. :(

IMO Disney ruined the Marvel superhero franchise.

They fucked up Star wars too. Yet somehow Andor came out of that shit show they created. Not a great ratio of good to crap but at least there is a sliver of good to look forward to

I've yet to "push" through the slow-ish first season of Andor despite the rave-reviews it's getting now. :confused_old:
