It was really Saddening. Seeing her in the beginning of the documentary being so radiant. And afterwards after she met Blake Fielder, you can see the light in her eyes changing from like a high pressure xenon lamp to a weak candle flame in the wind, barely hanging on. Until that final strong gush of wind.
The eyes tell so much.

That Fielder guy is like a vampire.
Also, her dad cared more about her money then he did about her.

But seeing in her good times, i kind of wished i could have been present at one of her shows.

She sure was. I like some of her songs, but now i understand the meaning a whole lot better of those songs.
It is said that when they told her to go to rehab and even her father said , she does not need rehab. That was the point of no return. I do not get it why he would say such a thing. Money does strange things to people.

Yeah, the whole drinking and constant smoking weed at a young age, is not that good. I agree. But hidden between the lines it is obvious why she did.
Restlessness. Constant struggle within a person makes that a person is not relaxed and experiences stress. Thus that person can never just sit down somewhere and relax and enjoy the moment.
That is the impression i got from her as well when watching the documentary and reading about her. The desire to just feel content. But never feeling content. That is a recipe for drug or/and alcohol use.

I read about and the interviews with him before but it does not change the picture.
If he pretends to think and claim that coke and heroine binges do not cause heart conditions and that it is purely alcohol...
Sure. Yeah right... Of course she had issues and if she had not died so soon, she would probably have had a doctor tell her she has liver cirrhosis when she would have turned around 40. But the livestyle as they had together, made sure she went in overdrive. Of course there are all these contributing factors. She was fragile while pretending to be very strong. And the type that guy is , is lethal for such people.

I should mention that she could have never made attempts to stop if he was not in prison.
Also, the paparazzi and constant attention and being in the spotlight makes sure that someone who is not mentally stable because of for example an addiction and other issues will undergo heavy stress.
And stress is perfect to get people into repetitive behavior >> worst case : addiction.

Saw that movie in the theatre on a tinder date. She suggested it and it was our first date and I went with it. Wouldn't have gone otherwise and that was the only good thing about meeting her - that the movie was amazing. Highly recommended.

Yeah, what was most interesting is that Amy confided to her friend (I think Jules) just after winning the awards that it all was so boring without drugs.
But that is the whole thing. If people want to stop an addiction they have to accept that the extreme highs and lows are going to be replaced by a more dull emotional life.
Eventually the body will have adjusted again and natural feelings of great pleasure will happen again as well as an improved state of mind and normal feelings of being a little down occasionally .
The brain has to adjust and it takes time and a life with as little stress as possible.
That was the problem. I can now understand why she behaved as she did prior and at the Serbia concert.

I do not know if it is on netflix USA or netflix Canada, we do have it here in NL.
It would be nice if there was a site where people can instantly check if a movie on netflix is available in other countries.

I liked her a lot. Probably my favorite modern female pop singer, at least of the group you'd expect to find on mainstream radio. She'd have been huge with a long career if she could have kept her shit together.
