The key in my opinion was paying attention to the beginning credits.

I think I "get" it, it's pretty much an indictment of mainstream Hollywood, but I think the movie sucked. Then again, maybe I just don't "get" it.

And art is completely subjective, I hate people who discount what they don't like as being bad or pretentious.
