OMG, take a look at the thermalright page. Their case looks awesome for an HTPC setup.

That one pic of the desktop with all the different thermalright heatsinks is pretty close to what my machine will look like when the ultra120 extreme shows up tommorrow.

Speaking of the Honda Fit aka Jazz...

It tooks YEARS for these cars to hit North America, and the ONLY reason Honda did it was to crush Scion xB sales in the U.S. (which they did)! :D

Witness the most excellent Scythe Kamameter 3...

I would give my eye teeth for one of these, but ain't never gonna happen bros, just like this HSF!

Still, it doesn't hurt to dream, yes? :)

*edit*

Oops! Scratch that...

Guess what I just found!?!?!?!

I'm going shopping!!! Carry on...

The hybrid looks awesome. I never would have thought of putting a Heatlane through the middle.

Thats almost like anti advertising, water cooling should lower temps way more then 10c. People that put waterblocks on there 8800s reduce temps by 20c+

My Thermalright HR03 air cooler on my 8800GTX lowered my temps by 32C. I would hope that water cooling would be more effective.

Not for a couple of days (working out of town right now). The only way I tried to load it for testing so far is I ran the cascade nvidia demo for 2 hours after I installed the cooler (with a 120mm fan attached to it). Before when loaded and the stock fan on max, it would get to about 80-82C at full load, with the new cooler (during that cascades tech demo for 2 hours) the highest it got was about 50C. At idle, before the cooler was installed and the fan on minimum speed it would average around 72-75C, now it is around 38-42C, depending on room temperature. All temps were taken with Everest Ultimate Edition.

I will try that ati tool load test when I get back tomorrow evening, I have never tried that test before. I am going to be testing tomorrow anyway as the Ultra 120 extreme I ordered should arrive by then as well.

The latest version of ATITOOL is .27, just open and click "open 3d view" wait for your temps to stabilize on the graph.

What does that thing cool though?
If only the CPU that's a big waste of space ... :p ... though I have to wonder how good it works ... :p
I'd guess it's part of a watercooling of some sort though ... :p
Although opening your case and use a big house fan will sort of achieve the same result ... :p

Doesn't matter!

The whole thing is to prod 'the sheep' into a frenzy...

Like the (ahem) Thermalwrong Ultra eXtreme -- add a heatpipe to the Ultra 120 and call it 'eXtreme', you know?

Bah, bah, black sheep, have you any wool?

Yes, many have I... Three bags full... :D

Not trolling... just 'speaking' the truth... but most ppl can't handle it!

Truth is a funny thing! Wanna know the difference between 'truth' and B.S.!?!?!?! :D

Truth stands up under scrutiny - B.S. doesn't. It's as simple as that?

Look, I own a Mine 3 and don't have anything against Scythe except their crappy VTMS mounts!

I also own two Tuniq Tower 120s...

The fact of the matter is, Sunbeam accidently made the world's best HSF. How they did this is a mystery, but no matter...

Everyone claims to have a Tuniq Tower killer, but upon investigation it always turns out to be a bogus!

On topic, I *think* Scythe has 'given up the ship' and decided to make artsy-fartsy coolers, for want of a different word...

Nothing wrong with that! Their coolers *look* GREAT! No doubt about it! Let's give credit where credit is due...

If this hurts your *feelings*, I'm sorry! :)

It does not hurt my feelings, I just don't know what you have against Thermalright. As of tonight I do have a Thermalright Ultra-120 extreme, but I was not duped into thinking it was the best air cooler on the market or anything. It IS a damn good heatsink, no matter how you look at it. Maybe not the best like the anandtech review claims, but it is up there as far as I am concerned.

To be honest, the main reason I got it is becuase It matched the HR-03 plus I bought for the 8800GTX (I ordered both at the same time).

Just because I bought one of those Ultra120 extremes, does not make me a sheep. Or anyone else that bought one for that matter. That's why I called you a troll, you seemed to be belittling anyone who bought or is considering buying a thermalright product.

Wow, this one is huge, and hilarious. :)
Again, it may meet anyone's need. If then, it could be as good as other coolers.

This reminds me of an idea I had in one of my LAN-weakened states of mind. Why not have a case with heatsink connected to it? If you build it into the frame, then the case can take some of the weight off of the chip, thus allowing a bigger heatsink. Of course there's the space taken up by the graphics card and sound card but those should be easy enough to avoid.
