Just want to be sure: 1 8800gts is better than 2x7900gt's in sli at 1680x1050

If i sell both my 7900gt's right now, i have enough to buy a 8800gts. I just want to be 100% sure that 1 8800gts is better than 2 7900gt KO's in SLI at 1680 by 1050 resolution. I've been to tom's video charts, and the 8800gts owns. I just want to be sure so i dont waste my time

Well if its the 640mb it sure will.

Not only that but you dont have to mess with SLi, worry bout heat/power consumption and noise plus the 8800GTS will have better IQ.

Id say its worth it unless you want to wait to see whats around the corner. Especially from nVIDIA since G80s is getting close to being a year old.

I'm planning on an all new build in September to handle Crysis, so I will either use this 8800gts, or sell everything and buy a 8800gtx, or whatever 8900 series is out by then
