K I had a TB 1ghz, Gf2 GTS, and 256mb pc133 ram...just upgraded to:
Athlon XP 1700+, Gf3 ti/450 (gainward), 512mb 2100DDR
Any game I ran previously on my tbird 1ghz machine was pretty much flawless, except when I got into the high 1600x1200 resolutions - it would slow little, but still playable. The only complaints I had were mediocre performance running apps and such in winXP. The upgrade bug hit me so I upgraded. Just wondering what's the point of getting these fast systems if my 1ghz, gf2gts system would run anything thrown at it, and very smoothly. I know I may be contradicting myself here, the only reason I upgraded is because I had the money and knew I probably wouldn't 6months from now - I figured now was the time and everything was soo cheap. My last question - will I see a noticeable difference running apps in XP with the added ram??
