Hey all,
I've finally changed cases, it only took 10 years. My old Antec has been through god knows how many builds. From a Northwood P4 to an Athlon XP to an Athlon 64 s754 to a s939 and finally an i7 920 which I'm on now.
I have to say, this is a really nice case. Using the 1040 I had so many problems trying to cable manage properly. Plus the fact that I was using 4x80mm fans spinning at stupid levels didn't help with noise.
On the 650D I was able to cable manage like a boss with minimal time. I'm not too worried about a super clean look but airflow is very important to me. As long as my pc stays cool and stable I'm pretty happy. Moving from 4x80mm fans to 2x200m and rear 120mm is fantastic.
My only issue is that the fan controller when set to low or medium causes this strange vibration to come from the fans. I'm not sure exactly what it is but I have the fans on full right now and it's a million times quieter than my 1040 ever was. The fan controller issue seems to be a common problem, it doesn't really bother me and I'd rather leave my fans on high anyway.
I am also able to move the case down to the floor knowing that I can easily clean the dust filters unlike before... where the case was up on a table and I'd still have to clean it at least every 6 months.
Below are some pics of the case and my current workspace;
Cheers!
