I unscreweed the black mounting on the xp-90 to remove it and then put the x2 3800 in and screwed the xp-90 back in.
I know i'm probably not suppose to do it this way but i really didn't wana mess with those evil clips again. Anyways, the installation went okay... a couple hops and twists trying to figure out how to screw it back in (takes alot of pressure to catch the screw) but i got it. I know the heatsink shouldn't move much after placing it on the cpu b/c of air bubles or whatever but i ordered a xp-120 that should come next week so i will have to take it apart again anyway.
B4 idle was 31c now its 38c.
I ran Sandra and the temps jumped to 45c for a few seconds.
I'm good under 50 right?
I got my eye glued to speedfan.
Just out of curiousty if any1 else reads this with a x2 3800, what kind of temps do u have?
I did optimize settings in bios and the ram went to 333, i thought with this new cpu it would go to 400. its okay thought i set it manually.
If any1 has anything to share please do! 8)
