Just tried out 3Dmark05 for the first time

Yeah as the title says. My score was 5,060. I think that really sucks! lol During some of the CPU tests I got a whopping 1 FPS most of the time. heh , Conroe is in the works.

Looks about right. I think I got ~5,400 with an A64@2.6GHz and an X850XT PE@stock.

It's pretty normal to get 1-2fps in the cpu tests. A Conroe won't help out your '05 score that much but it will definetely be an upgrade in other areas.

O'erclocking the CPU and GPU should be good for at least another 10%. I get 5400 with a P3.0 @ 3.6 and an X800XL with a modest (by nature) overclock. The X800XT should do better. Hey, I have a Fortron 400W too. We should start a club or something. We could call it the Sad Gits With Crappy Old PC's Who Wish They Had Conroes or NAMBLA for short. Ha ha, standard "Daily Show" joke (no offense to homosexual pedophiles). LOL

The CPU thing on my Dual Core Opty is always at like 1fps.
Of course my total score is 15,000 in 3dmark05 thanks to SLI

Sounds right. I have a P4 1.8ghz with a 6800NU and my score is mid-3k.

15,000 niceee i only get 13500 with my 4600+@2.8 and 7950 @ 600/1425

I get 9000 with a single X1900XT and Athlon X2 4000+. Haven't overclocked yet, might be able to hit 10k after I do that.

I can't OC my CPU cause of mainboard limitations (OEM from Sony). The BIOS doesn't have ANY options for that. So it's off to Conroe land where CPU's overclock like crazy, major cool temps (dreaming) and games no longer load...they just play

Should only be one more week til I am asses and elbow's building my new system..Weeeeee

heh. My 3dmark05 runs like a nursing home slideshow. I mean I get like ~2700 with my old azz geforce 6600 non-gt w/ custom heatsink 120mm fan. soon i will be in the 10k range though

Haven't tried crossfire in 05' yet.

In 06' CF gets around 11k (690/1600)

My old Pentium D 820 and Radeon X850XTPE scored around 6300. Darn 3DMark; it is a terrible game. Your score is based on how much money you have, not your skill...

That seems a litttle low. I score 6332 with my setup below.7800gs

^^ You're right gents. Sorry for the faulty memory. I just checked my old projects and my 3500+@stock and X800XT PE@stock scored 5962. My 3700+@stock and X850XT PE@600/600 scored 6885 so it would have been in the low to mid 6000's with the card at stock.
