However much SS taxes an individual paid, tack on 6-7% annualized return for the entire duration when the tax was collected. Individual only gets back the amount contributed +6-7% annualized, meaning they don't get more than they paid into the system.

right now they get much less than the 6-7% you're proposing.


i think you need to understand how SS works right now to understand what could be wrong with it and what the potential fixes would be.

6 to 7% annualized? You DO realize, don't you, the SS returns less than 1.5%, don't you?

The rate of return you propose would bankrupt the system. It's not a solution, it's a death sentence.
