AA is the best hand you can start out with in Texas Hold'em (80 percent chance of winning in a show down, 35 percent chance of winning with a family (10) pot). But just because you have the best hand doesn't mean you'll win. You've got to know how to play them. So you raise high enough so that you're in the game with one other player... you have a 80 percent chance of coming on top.
The Flop, cards are laid, 3s,7h, Kd. You check, your oponent checks, next card, the turn Js. You raise, your oponent calls, next card, the river, 2h. You push your oponent all in. Your oponent calls. You throw down your pocket Aces, your oponent throws down a two pair, 2d, 7s. Your hand... the best hand in the game has been beaten by one of the worst hands in the game. You played well, there is no reason why your oponent should have pushed to the river... but they did and you're perfect pockets are busted...:brokenheart:
Life... life is a lot like that... No matter how equipt, perfect, flawless you are, there's always a chance that you'll be slighted by fate/chance... That's why you hedge your bets... God knows I do...
