Just swapped in an Athlon 64 X2

I had a single core Athlon 64 (socket 939) and just swapped in a dual core CPU and new HSF.

All went well, I'm seeing two cores in Windows Task Manager, and in Device Manager the computer is now listed as "ACPI Multiprocessor PC".

Is it necessary for me to install either the 'dual core processor driver' or 'dual-core optimizer' from AMD?

Install the dual core driver.

IIRC the driver is for CnQ only. I installed it. I didn't see any difference though...

Bump for any thoughts on the 'Dual-Core Optimizer'.

I installed it for my X2.

I didn't install anything after switching to X2.
