If you were worth something, I'd try ... pain 'n' suffering and all that jazz.

Original PoP > SoT

Original PoP > SoT

yea i used to play the original back in the days. i used to play it in the middle school and high school macs actually. so never finished it.

but from what i remember, they incorporated a lot of the same moves and same types of puzzles from PoP into SoT.

still...SoT is a pretty damn good game. I might just buy the new PoP that came out (or is coming out...not sure)

all of that and I also enjoyed the gameplay...jumping off walls and stabbing people is a good time

One of the few games I've played from start to finish all the while, never replacing the disc in the console

yea the gameplay was good too. i heard the game's a lot better with a gamepad. I played it on PC with mouse and keyboard and found it frustrating sometimes when i kept getting killed by the enemies.

i think im gonna play the game again from the bathhouse level on

If you like SoT, you probably won't like WW. Ubisoft did a complete reversal for WW; the Prince becomes bitter and cold(and generally unlikable), the focus becomes combat instead of puzzles(let alone good ones), and it's really damn hard to control on a computer since they added so many combat buttons. It's no mistake that it's rated several percentage points lower compared to SoT across all of the platforms both were availible on.:(

10 hours and I'd beaten the game. Once you get the controls down it's pretty straightforward. Sometimes anyway. Still damn fun, as short as it might have been.

The second PoP game is insane. In a good way, that is. Loads more combat moves, new enemies, new abilities, new "sand" system. It's all pretty fun. I haven't gotten very far in it as of yet, but that'll change. Oh yes.

ViRGE: There was a PA strip about the game that summed it all up nicely.

Most first persons shooters usually dont give me stomachaches but someone this game did even though it moves a little slower. The combat in the game was fun as hell to watch though.

I love that game. I am stuck at the point where he fights his dad. How do you beat him?

you're waaay in the beginning then. isnt that the first time he meets Farah?
well as for beating him, wait till he is about to attack, then roll to the right/left at the very last second, and attack him when he's already committed to his attack. I dont remember if you can jump over him...but u can give that a try

man the combat scenes get A LOT harder in the end. especially the one in the rotating elevator...right before you reach the hourglass of time

i LOVE the puzzles and the twist in storyline from the time you reach the hourglass for the first time

awesome game...i was hooked when it came out on xbox.
only thing that was kinda tough was protecting farah once in a while.

i agree with whoever said the 2nd one isnt as enjoyable as the first. nothing is compelling me to finish the 2nd game whereas i was hooked on sands of time.

arent the original POP/POP2 unlockable?

yea I was disappointed to read gamespy's review on WW. Apparantly making the game "darker" meant it lost its "Arabian Nights feel" to it. And thats the part i loved about SoT...the magic, the mystery, the fantasy...

maybe if I can score WW for real cheap off ebay then I'll give it a shot
