I don't know what it is, but no matter how far behind the computer can be, they always magically go like 300mph at exactly the same places and manage to pull in front and a lot of times manage to do it right at the end of a race.

It sounds stupid to people who don't play video games, but it's annoying as hell when the computer cheats to win. (and by cheating I mean some stupid unfair code the developers put in to make their games more difficult).

Anyway, that's my rant...

Especially when you make that last turn without making a mistake and you're supposed to be 5 seconds in front of the computer.

my solution to that is to ram my car into the computer's forcing it into the dirt at sometime during the race. They usually can never recover from one mishap like that.

try this instead. go to free races, just to race.....set your braking power up high, in know in 4, instead of the normal 3/3 or 4/4 that they have stock, i crank it to 7-9 front ant 6-7 rear. you can brake later, and harder than you ever would have normally. it probably your entry thats letting them catch up honestly.
if your brakes are soft, then you end up braking early and long and that causes the computer to catch up pretty fast. also dont use throttle at all if you can during a turn. just zip through it or if you have to, use minimal throttle to keep the ass end of your car in the right spot.

just my .02
