Just started BOINC Seti@home on 2 of my computers.

Yesterday I started running seti@home on my main rig and file server. I just checked thier numbers and the total credit for each machine is shown here

The sempron machine has a total credit of 58.02, while the X2 machine is only at 27.69. Now I am using my X2 rig at times during the day, but it just seems to me that it should still be getting the higher numbers. I also started it on the X2 machine about an hour before I put it on the sempron. Any ideas?

Only Validated results gets credit, for SETI@Home there must be atleast 3 reported "success"-results for a wu before validation is tried.

Looking on your computers, one has validated both of your returned results, while the other has 1 validated and 2 "pending", waiting on enough results for this wu to be tried validated.

Make sure you have boinc configured to run at all times, I think the default is to wait for the computer be inactive for a while before it starts running.

While you're at it, you should consider using an optimized seti application. One of the best ones is found here: http://www.guntec.de/Crunch3r/setix86.html
They sped up my wu completion time from about 1.5-2 hours to about 45 minutes.

Thanks, got another issue now. I tried installing on my laptop, it installed fien, but it doesn't seem to be able to download the work. Network connection is fine though

They had an outage earlier today, and during the recovery-period it can always be difficult to connect.
