First movie, I really liked.
Second movie, a sub-par Empire Strikes Back wannabe with cliffhanger.
Third movie, a giant c***-tease.

The entire freaking movie was about reuniting the Pirate lords. They reunite, prepare for battle, you see a huge ass Armada from the East India Company, and what happens? It turns into a 1v1 battle between the Pearl and Flying Dutchman. Then, the other Pirate Lords cheer, and the EIC turns tail for no apparent reason.

While it wasn't a horrible movie, I was really disappointed at the ending.

I literally fell asleep during the first movie so I passed on the sequels.

Not sure what you mean. Empire Strikes Back was the second movie in a trilogy. At World's End is the third movie in a trilogy.

I had heard it wasn't good (didn't see it in theaters). Would've just rented it, but the wife bought if before I had the chance.

Also Keira Knightly really needs to eat a couple cheeseburgers.

I was referring to the movies in the series. I'll clarify.

Horrible movie. I liked the first two, but this just jumped all over the freaking place with no consistent story.

I didn't think it was bad, but I was not happy when the 2nd ended with a cliffhanger. When the 2nd Matrix film did that, I was pissed.

And I think Keira is cute. She is rather thin, but she is still perky and hot.

Didn't like it much. Way too many disjointed and unresolved plot lines showing up every 15 minutes seemed like. Wait let's summon back this water god lady. Oh noes she created big waves... and not much else.

Bloom then gets to see/bang his lady once every seven years? Rough.

Couldn't wait for it to get over. Returned it to BlockBuster the same night for a free rental.

I like the first two (especially the second one) much more than the third. "At World's End" wasn't bad, it was okay, but I didn't enjoy it as much as the others. And yeah, the ending was kind of weak with that huge armada turning back.

Agreed. And she also needs to have wild crazy animal sex with me. Now.

Some might be NSFW.

I liked the 3rd one. Especially the beginning, "Sir, they've begun singing.... about time". Oh and the pirate round table part. While the action wasn't perfect, it had a certain atmosphere to it that I really enjoyed.

The only bad part was Keira's motivational speech. Ugh.

I just saw it as well and agree with everything you wrote.

I thought Keith Richards was VERY convincing as a Pirate.

As far as the movie goes, I thought it was better than the second one. I never really liked the whole Flying Dutchman thing....it was kind of stupid. I guess they were improving on a ride at Disney and didn't have much more to go on. The pre-movie and post-movie sequences and the way Will leaves alludes to a 4th movie. Not sure if or when that's going to come out, but it will likely happen when they decide to milk the movie-goers for another couple of million.

One thing I do like about these movies is that they don't have a lot of language or gore. For that I give them 7s with the second movie a 6.

I thought he had to complete sending souls for 10 years and then if his 'love' meets him at their predetermined location, he's off the curse; in the case of Davey Jones, he was stood up, hence spending more than 10 years doing what he did.

I liked all 3 but obviously, loved the first one the best. Honestly, I didn't expect anything of substance from a sequel from Disney to begin with.

The curse doesn't end, it's immortality. Ferry souls forever and every 10 years you'll get to see your love.

Davey Jones got stood up and in his anger decided to stop ferrying souls, then helped bind the goddess and turned into a crustacean.

The only way to end the curse is to take his place.... the ship always needs a captain.

Edit: Oh and hell ya Keith Richards was a real Pirate, haha. Sure, very short stay in the movie, but perfectly placed.

Huh. I liked the first, but thought the second was pretty retarded. I wouldn't even have seen the third if some of our friends didn't want to see it so bad. I ended up liking the third...best of all I think? Well, at least as much as the first. I didn't realize it while I was watching it, but after I left I felt like I had enjoyed the whole thing.

I wouldn't call it horrible, but it more or less just seemed like a giant circle jerk from start to finish.

For some reason my in-laws bought me this movie ... while I appreciate Keira Knightley, and the special effects in the movie, I didn't really enjoy it either. The first was decent (new premise etc.), the second was a bit of a drag, and the third was merely OK. Wish I didn't own it, but hey, my wife likes it. Oh, and the same in-laws bought me Super Mario Galaxy, so I can't bash them too much :D

I didn't really like it all that much. I HATED the ending to the 2nd movie - they literally just cut it off in the middle of the story, in essence it wasn't a series, the 2nd and 3rd movie were just one (really really long) movie.

-the scene where there are a million jacks running around went on for WAY too long.
-a lot of things unexplained throughout the movie, it's like the directors said "just go with it dude, you don't need explanation"
-so what did releasing the sea goddess do again? She made a big whirlpool....ok....it didn't really affect either side.
-kiera knightly's motivational speech was horrid, and while she's normally pretty hot she looked like a stick figure in that scene
-I didn't like how suddenly bloom and knightly's characters were super-pirates

ah...there were probably more things I didn't like, but that's enough for now. Overall it was a decent movie, but it could have been a lot better.
