just saw "the ring" on dvd, not that scary

heard a lot of good things about this movie, rented it out, started off pretty good, but tapered off midway. not scary at all.

it's one of thsoe movie that require a theatre experience... dark room, huge ass screen and loud speakers...

imo, i LOVED it. much better than other cheap american horrors like, "i know what u did", "scream" (stupid kiddie teen stuff) or "friday the 13th" (blatant gore with no horror)
 
man you know what was freaky?? in "memento", when leonard itches his bandaid while talking on the phone, peels it off and it reads "never answer the phone". and when you got that photo of himself right afterwards
 
I thought this was a pretty good scary movie. I didn't think the exorcist was scary at all but I thought this was. The thing I liked the most was the ending, it wasn't one of those movies where all the do gooders get away, it had a very dark ending.
