First of all, if you haven't seen the movie, go away - discussing it will give away the plot.

Anyway, that was the best movie I've seen in a long time! Nicole Kidman was amazing. The atmosphere was awesome and creepy and chilling. The ending was a little anti-climatic, but at least there was some measure of closure.

Why don't they make movies like this anymore? :D

Very creepy movie indeed. I remember seeing it at the theater and it spooked me pretty good.

I generally don't like these types of movies, but I would agree that this one was pretty good.

I will agree, I liked this movie alot, one of the best "ghost" movies to have come out in a long long time. Nicole Kidman at her best IMO, I'm not really a big fan but she can play certain characters very well.

The absolute ending was a bit cheesy, but overall it made things feel plausible. One of the few movies that just doesn't show stupid crazy CG effects right off the bat ruining the mood.

That the movie where she finds out that she and her family is the one dead in the end?

Yeah.

What I thought was lame was how they ended it - I liked the twist, but not the end. So they're just going to stay in the house forever...and never leave...forever...? I felt like they could have come up with something better than that.

I watched it on our projector at home...it was great in the dark on a big screen :D It definitely would have been creep in the theaters...I don't like seeing scary movies in the theaters because other people are there and I can't wuss out and turn on the lights

It was alright... I didn't like how the only "scary" part was the one where the thing jumped out of the wardrobe and said "boo!" I always figured that was a cheap way to get a scare.

I liked the movie as well. Seems you never know if you going to get a good or bad performance out of Kidman & that kept me from watching it for a long time, but she did a very good job in this one.

I forget, was that one of the spooky movies with good LFE? It's been a while since I've watched it.
