Just got back from WalMart. I haven't been to Walmart in over 5 years, since my boycott began. Tonight though I needed something and couldn't wait until tomorrow. The problem is WalMart was the only store still open I could get it. I walked into the door and searched for the item I needed. Before I even found what I needed I saw the most disturbing thing.

They made a bunch of the employees gather in a circle in front of all of the shoppers and sing their love for walmart. I don't remember all of the lyrics but I know I heard at least "I love my Walmart", and "Walmart is the greatest".

They were being FORCED to sing high praises to WalMart. What kind of employer forces its workers to sing high praises to it.

I said fuck it and walked out the store. I didn't even get what I needed. I was sicken from what I saw.

Shit like this is why WalMart needs to be boycotted.

Many big box retailers do that. Have a little pep-rally in the morning for the morning people then one at night to close out the night.

This is NO different than a master who forces his slaves to tell him how wonderful he is. Walmart is the master, the employees are its slave.

From my friends that have worked at Best Buy, they have done this for a long, long time. I've been told the BB morning meetings last an hour or so, but I'm not sure if that's true. They do, indeed, do stupid shit like songs about their company, exercises, etc.

IBM is famous for it, just like you're famous for being a repeat returning banned member. And for having an enormous chin.

Last I checked, the Walmart employees weren't whipped, beaten, or killed if they went to work somewhere else.

As far as I know the Walmart employees are free to find other employment if they don't like the rules.

I've never seen it despite spending many a late night/early morning, but I've heard of some doing it. News flash: it's a managerial technique employed at the local manager and not the corporation. That manager likely read I in some "managing people" book or course and would be doing that no matter what store he or she managed. This Walmart hate is sickening. Just buy your shit and be happy that SOMEONE had a business model that suited your need when you needed it. Jerk.

I've been to camps and schools that did the same thing. OMG! What kind of country makes you pledge in public school (reeducation/indoctrination camps) every morning?!
