The girl's performance was amazing, I had to look her up just to make sure she wasn't only 15 years old.

The backdrop of French Colonial Vietnam is amazing, it felt like I was there, and playing the part of the young girl in "torrid" love affair with a Chinese man.



Going to watch Donnie Darko next since I heard good things about it.
 
6.4/10 according to voters on IMDB, and it's not my type of movie *shrug* think I'm gonna pass on this one.
 
Haven't seen it but I've heard a lot of asian guys mention it as one of the few movies where the asian guy gets some.

If it doesn't have explosions, action/adventure, machine guns, martial arts then no thanks. 😀 Kidding (slightly), but still doesn't sound like my kind of movie.

If you liked (Tony) Leung Ka Fai, you can also see him in "Good Times / Bed Times" with Louis Khoo and Sammi Cheng... "Ashes of Time" with Maggie, Leslie, Brigitte, et al (all-star cast)... "God of Gamblers 2", which is really Chow Yun Fat's series.

Note that there are two Tony Leungs, so don't be confused. The other is (Tony) Leung Chiu Wai, who did My Lucky Star, Infernal Affairs, etc., and is really the better actor, though the ladies generally find Leung Ka Fai to be the handsomer of the two.
