Just saw The Exorcist (the re-release in theatres) and I gotta say, it TOTALLY freaked me out.

What I saw freaked me out anyways....

Well, I won't be getting any sleep tonight for sure. Luckily I just bought Baldur's Gate 2 tonight, so that should keep me ocupied.

That's the scariest movie I've ever seen by far. I don't even know why I went...oye. :Q

I am going again next week, though I don't want to. I have been threatened with bodily harm if I don't go with my cousins. But that movie leaves me sleepless for days, I really don't want to go. Now excuse me, I am off to whine about it. ;)

I agree. I saw it last week in the theater and I've been haunted with images of Linda Blair all week. I can still picture her tied down in the bed with her eyes glowing.

hehe- "yo mama sucks c**k in hell!"

Hey Colleen,

Nice to see both you and Jean sporting the same sig. :)

BTW, there's no way in hell I'm seeing that movie in a theater again. I've said that and I say it again. It scarred me at 16 and the wounds haven't healed yet (maybe because they spurt green goo still).

LOL DF! I knew I should not have skipped that french class in high school! ;) I liked it because my hubby is out of town, and it seemed to fit. Now I am off to find another one. :)

And FrogDog, good, now I don't have to whine alone, its always more effective in stereo. ;)

I'll admit that the first time I saw it I was a little shocked to see the girl stabbing herself in the crotch with the crucifix.

Yeah, that was gross, I think I remember from the book that she is having her period when she stabs herself with the crucifix. Yuck...

Well, the girl stabbing at her crotch with the crucifix wasn't as bad as what happened immediately afterwards.

I have never seen it. I would like to, though. Maybe I can convince hubby into going with me! :)

Kingham,

You either have NEVER SEEN the movie, or are full of sh1t if you are acting like that movie didn't scare the hell out of you.

Russ,

Somehow, that doesn't surprise me. --But only coming from YOU. And only because you don't comprehend human emotions or understand our irrational human ways. It's OK. Android technology is going to come a long way shortly with the new advances in quantum technology.

Well i saw it on Friday.

I believe it to be a good movie. I have seen parts of it, but never from start to finish.

I was never 'scared'. Only one film has EVER made me jump in my seat due to concentrating so hard on the film (Saving Prvt Ryan) However, The Exorcist didnt make me jump, however that one part where the phone rings made several around me jump.

Its quite easy to detach yourself from the movie. Just "zoom" back the movie in your mind and picture hte cameras, boom mic's, keygrips etc in the background filming (remeber that part in space balls heh) Works like a charm

My friends all wanna go see it on next friday or whenever Friday the 13th is :p To bad there is no full moon then as well, and in the month of october to boot! ooh scarry!!

time to whip out the oijaa (sp?) board.

Hey, theres a good idea for a new thread, Oijaa board experiences
heh

if you want some history on the source of this movie and the book that it was taken from, search for my previous post on friday, there is a link that windog and myself found that explains it. SEems like the book was based loosly on the story of a 13 year old boy back in 1949. Neat stuff.
