Just saw Requiem For A Dream for the first time...

At first I thought it was kind of a silly movie, but as soon as it started picking up I could not believe what I was seeing. Requiem is collectively the most horrifying, realistic, moving, and memorable movies I have ever seen. I am utterly speechless.

If you haven't seen this movie yet, you must. It is absolutely unparalleled.

Putting "oh my god" in your post makes you sound like a teenager in a lunchroom. Other than that, I intend on seeing the movie. I've heard it is good.

Why she didn't win an Academy for Best Supporting Actress is beyond me.

I wish they'd start giving Jared Leto more roles in movies. He's such an amazing actor (and the lead singer of one of the greatest bands ever).

Oh I didn't know he was the 30 Seconds To Mars guy. I don't listen to their stuff but I've heard it and it is pretty good. He did an amazing job in Requiem. They all did. This movie gained back all the respect I lost for the Marlon Wayans in White Chicks.

I agree. One of the most disturbing movies I have ever seen. I even felt sort of sick after seeing it:(

Watch Lord of War too. He stars alongside Nicholas Cage and is just as good, if not better than in Requiem.

Edit: Leto that is.

its a great example of how your life came be destroyed by drugs. It may even be a good one to show kids to scare them off from ever doing them. But on the other hand it has a lot of very mature content which may not be suitable for kids.

I remember watching that movie again under the influence. That was insane. The little sound effects were freaking me out big time.

Yeah some parts of the movie were a bit trippy. It was very artistically done though.
