Saw them here. Scroll down to the bottom. Prices are in CDN. $$$. Those have got to be Athlon MP processors. AMD hasn't released the desktop version of the Athlon4 yet. But I didn't know they were at 1.4GHz. That's probably a typo.

"That's odd "

That's what I said. I went to AMD's website and the only 1.4GHz CPU they have is the T-Bird. I'm going to email that store and find out what's going on.

"Yummy... I wonder if it is time for me to upgrade again? "

I'll be doing that this summer.

Maybe they're just listing it now, but it's not in stock. THey're probably just taking pre-orders.

That's probably what it is. I've emailed them so we'll have to wait and see.

It's odd becuase on AMD's website the Athlon MP is listed as being 1.0 and 1.2GHz only. Not 1.4 GHz.

What I'd like to know is why AMD's website doesn't have 1.4GHz Athlon MP processors on it. I know the Athlon MP has been out for over a week.

I don't know any vendor with the 1.4GHz AthlonMP in stock. Most have an ETA around the end of the month.

I found the same thing to be true when I did call arounds for Palamino availabilty. The 1.4ghz MP/Palamino will not be available until mid-July or so.

I'm hoping that'll make regular T-Birds come down in price. Thats a tad out of my budget.

Well, considering a 1GHz/266 Thunderbird can be had for ~$90, I'd say prices are at an all-time low. I personally find the MP chips rather cheap, particularly in comparison to P4-Xeon server chips. And we all know two MPs make minced meat out of dual P4-Xeons, even though they are running with a 1GHz clock advantage.

Having them listed and actually having them in stock are two diff things. Specially in Canada.

I don't trust ATIC. Their customer service sucks and have you ever looked at their "news" section? It's a joke.

I go there once in a while just to have a good laugh at how arrogant they are with their "news updates." Not to mention their horrible spelling/grammar.

Hmm.. this is interesting.

Just checked out the page and it looks like they do carry them.

That's odd. Could they be selling mobile CPUs as AthlonMP?
