Just Saw Napolean Dynamite

Yeah, it was a pretty good movie. What I want to know is what kind of car was that that Pedros cousins(??) were driving? That thing was sweet.

Yes, its a great movie.

The problem is a lot of people don't see the subtle humor (someone must do a study on it), for them its even more dead and quiet than 2001: a space odyssey.

Agreed. I loved it, but I love subtle humor.

I'd be curious to hear from those who didn't like it. Do you generally appreciate subtle humor? Or do you prefer things more akin to slapstick?

Don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.

I don't understand why people think this movie is so good. It looks like a cheap Canadian movie. It is a little off.

Did you get the humor? If not, do you generally percieve hidden humor?

It's a pretty damn funny movie. May take more than one viewing to get yourself to go along with the humor.

It's not earthshattering, but it IS funny.

You need to watch it a few more times!! Of course it looks cheap. It was cheaply made. The value of the movie lies in the humor, not the appearance. It's supposed to be a little off ... that's the point!

Last week, Japanese scientists explaced.... placed explosive detonators at the bottom of Lake Loch Ness to blow Nessie out of the water. Sir Curt Godfrey of the Nessie Alliance summoned the help of Scotland's local wizards to cast a protective spell over the lake and its local residents and all those who seek for the peaceful existence of our underwater ally.
