It was really good until the tragedy...then the movie became too slow for me.

Also, I'm not sure if this movie is sending the right message...

good rental movie is how I would label this one 🙂

The right message? Huh? What it's suppose to send???

Reguardless, it was a very good movie...

A rich couple's kid is stolen out of the nursery at the hospital and there is a $1 million ransom!

Actually it's about boxing.

but at the end, the bad guys changed their minds....so the sequel will be $2 million dollar baby 😛

Bah, that was a great movie... the movie isn't about Boxing, it's entirely about relationships, if you think it got slow after "the tragedy" then you weren't enough into the movie anyways

<-- just saw it last night.

I really didn't like it. With the exception of Freeman, the acting was okay. I thought Eastwood's character left too many unanswered questions for the viewer to really establish any sort of meaningful connection with him. As for Swank, well, she was alright. After the accident, the movie was horribly depressing. I knew exactly what was going to happen, but I had to sit there and watch it in slow motion. It left you with no hope, no reason, nothing.

I have respect for Eastwood because he, once again, tried to do something great (like Mystic River), but the reality is this movie just fell short in too many ways.

I enjoyed the movie Sideways more than I enjoyed The Aviator or Million Dollar Baby. The facial expressions by Paul Giamatti (Miles) throughout the movie is what truly makes this movie so believable for me. I think Paul Giamatti should of got an Oscar for his acting.

I'd call it the feel good movie of the year!!!!

But seriously, whats up with all these fvcking movies ending so horribly? What ever happened to a happen ending?

Exactly. Anyone with half a brain could've figured out that this movie wasn't about boxing. It was about relationships, relationships between the old and tired and the young and ambitious. It was a brilliant movie.
