Just saw 'Kill Bill'...

and honestly, this movie rocks. I went in thinking it was gonna be ehhhhh..., and well, it was the best movie i've seen this year. A lot of the fight scenes are freakin' amazing, and I love how he paid homage to a lot of his influences. Plus, you gotta love a ninja flick that pulls off the 'anime blood squirt' in real life... honestly, somehow tarantino pulled off a ninja flick better than most ninja flicks can.

Did anyone notice the red flashes throughout the movie? At first i though I was seeing 3 dots that made up a predator-like red triangle, but then i thought i saw the letter "T" towards the end

i noticed them too... was there any significance to them? I never saw the "T" though

Ive never wanted a samurai sword more in my life.
I thought what was particularly cool was that they actually looked like they had trained and learned how to wield the sword.
Makes those jedi fools look like amateurs.
Of course the way the blood was spurting out was so ridiculous that it was comical.
Cant wait for part 2.

Most wonderfully gory mainstream film ever. So loved it. What a great surprise! Went in thinking it was going to be just ok. Quentin's the man.

I think the best part was the cartoon animation of how that one chick came to be where she was crying and her moms blood was dripping on her face. The movie was a little weird but I liked it.

That's my 87th best part of the movie.

BTW, the soundtrack is AWESOME. Do NOT download it off of IRC. That would be immoral and you will go to hell.

IT EVEN HAS THE W00 H00 SONG!!!!

it was awesome🙂 it got a full 4 stars from ebert.

not crouching tiger stuff, just ultra violence🙂 great style, great music, great fight coreography, was far funnier then you'd think..and disturbing with the funny at times, can't wait for part 2. might see it again.

not to mention return of the king and Matrix Revolutions new trailers came with it!

huge thread on it http://www.rottentomatoes.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=277881&perpage=25&pagenumber=2

KILL BILL: VOLUME 1 / **** (R) Roger Ebert

Thanks for helping me classify this movie... It is a slasher/ninja flick with anime influences, but does it all with style.

I loved the movie. Some of my friends thought it was either too gory, too "over the top", or simply too much. I thought it was all those things, but it did them well enough to make the movie excellent. It is one of the best pieces of art in the genre.

It wasn't a "samurai" sword.

It was shockingly good....I was in a trance- the ultra violence with shades of ultrafeminism made it more interesting than just a popcorn flick for me.. Critics just say that it's wall to wall violence but it's more than that.. The best movie I've seen this year

Just got back. The movie was very good. Tarrantino surprised me in some aspects, he really knows how to shoot women, to capture their beauty in the midst of the uber violence that takes place in the film. Uma was stunning in the sword makers shop scene. I've never been a huge fan of her looks but I have seen the light.

The anime sequence was refreshing and well done.

Great flick but I'm done with serial films. I will see the next Matrix, ROTK and KBv2 but thats it. I'll wait till they come out on DVD and buy the set

No offense, but it's not that hard to top the "american ninja" series . . .

LOL...wow...the American Ninja series. I remember watching those as a kid...oh the memories...

Just got back from seeing it.. Liked it a lot but wish they woulda just made it all a single movie. Loved what I saw and heard of David Carradine (although it was very little). At first I heard Vivica Fox and Lucy Liu and rolled my eyes but they both did well. I'm satisfied. Wanna see part 2!

P.S. Gory as HELL!!!
