Just saw the movie Dreamcatcher... I must say, it wasn't at all what I expected. What did you think?
 
Ok, what kind of movie do you envision when you think "Dreamcatcher"?

Nope, it's definitely not like that at all.
 
That's two posts without saying anything. You have no idea what I envision, I'm well versed with Stephen King's work. I would be very interested to know if you enjoyed it or not and a few details.

Ok, yes I did enjoy it. I thought it was a pretty good movie overall, well made and although it wasn't always convincing, they did a good job on making it feel suspenseful at the right times, and the wormlike things were pretty cool and creepy. Lots of good scenes in the movie that were humerous, also.

Have you read the book? If so, how did it compare to that? (without spoiling things for those of us who've not seen the movie, that is)

 
I thought it was dumb. All they needed was one worm to go into the reservoir? Why didn't they fly over and drop it in? So were 'they' good or evil? Why would someone choose a mentally retarded form? Dumb movie.

Maybe they crashed? They were evil, why do you ask that question? Maybe they didn't "choose" the form of human.

Fausto: No, I didn't read the book so I can't compare. I am sure the book is WAY better, though. Such is the case with most book-to-movie movies. 😛

Did you even watched the movie? Maybe they crashed? This wasn't their first time on earth. What do you think the 'Blue' team was about? They have had lots of encounters with them in the past.

They were evil? What makes you say that? Did you not notice the relationship between Morgan Freeman and the other General? Did you not notice the aliens saying 'please don't attack us' in little kids voices when they were attacked? Did you not notice that Duddit was not evil?

And how could you say they did not 'choose' their form? It's obvious they did.

Did we even watch the same movie. Are you talking about Dreamcatcher from Steven King?

i watched the animatrix short! yes it was baddass🙂 shame final fantasy wasn't like that. a few scenes were photo real. damn kewl 15-20 minutes of sweet cg! anyways, its a shame its only tagged with this movie. i walked out after the matrix short and into tears of the sun instead🙂 wee!

so just find a movie you DO want to see, and pic a time near dream catcher. u gotta allow for 10~ minutes of previews and 15-20 minutes for the osiris short.

i need a desktop wallpaper of her in those red panties😉

I'd pay to go see it just for the Anitmatrix tid bit! 😀 The movie itself was just absolute trash. It wasn't the least bit frightening, and I tried very hard to be scared. It just didn't work... It was completely unbelieveable and it seemed as if there were two seperate things going on (I won't say what, because it could be a spoiler). These two seperate streams were practically unrelated. The acting at times really sunk to B-Movie quality or worse ("Oh you ba***rd!")... and the aliens - wow, unbelieably stupid. Normally, I tend to disagree with the critics, but they got it right on the mark this time. This has to be one of the crappiest movies I've seen in a while...
