OK, so I saw this tonight with the gf. It really had everything I was hoping for, and a bit more. I wasn't sure how much I'd like it going in...but I was thoroughly impressed. There were startling parts, REALLY gory parts, suspenseful portions, and just straight scary shit at some points. What I wasn't expecting were some scenes that were actually funny. I was really amused by several of the scenes, it really worked well interspliced with the horror scenes, since it got you thinking the opposite way for a few minutes. It was predictable at a lot of points, but that didn't ruin it at all; it was still scary as shit. The old gypsy lady fighting the heroine of the movie KILLED me. Especially the anvil scene (you'll see). Really the only part I didn't like was at the seance towards the end with the talking goat.....I was terrified that the movie was about to shit the bed at that point, but fortunately it turned out fine. I give it a 9/10. I really think it's one of my favorite movies I've seen in this genre.

Saw the trailer.

The poor clerk lady gets cursed when the bank manager looking guy is the one who denied the loan? That's messed up.

Old lady that cursed her but not him is stupid.

from the trailer I saw he basically says she has got to make the "tough decisions" or she won't get promoted

basically he does deny it

Damn I want to see this, but my wife refuses to see movies like this. None of my friends are into them either. I may have to take my Mom, she is the only person I know that likes these movies.

A buddy and me go to the movies to see films that the wives won't watch. We call them gay dates....taking turns on the popcorn surprise of course :p

This will probably be our next.

I saw it last night and it's quite possibly the most predictable movie of all time. You always know what's going to happen next and how it ends. It's campy as hell but you can tell they did that on purpose. There were some enjoyable parts but the movie as a whole sucked. The main chick got annoying about halfway through. The movie was scary for the girl I was with but you know when something is going to pop-out. If you've ever seen a movie where someone got cursed, you know what's going to happen. Also there seems to be a fixation of bodily liquids getting thrown in people's faces in the movie.

Alison Lohman is strangely attractive to me. Maybe I'll sneak into this movie after I'm done watching UP!

It was pretty bad. Like, scary, but bad. Just plays on your sense of calmness and then scares you when you expect it, but you are still frightened.

I saw it Friday night and was impressed. I expected the scary parts but never expected the funny parts.

The part with the goat talking had me nearly rolling out of my chair in laughter.

OH, it has Chris Long (Hey I'm a MAC!). Unfortunately he doesn't die. He's only in a few scenes though.

The Goat scene was fuckin hilarious, I'm glad they didn't ruin the movie by having it be more than just that scene though.

For those that said it was too campy; I think it was actually a good thing, it was a fun movie. Don't go to this expecting to see something like one of the original dracula movies, or dawn of the dead. This was a fun, shocking, gorey-gross-out, scary movie.

This is a Raimi movie. The guy that did Army of Darkness and the Evil Dead movies. You've got to expect the campy'ness.

That said...the previews for this thing looked horrible.

I saw it on Friday, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The ending was rather (very) gay though. I was let down by that ending.

The movie was very good though, IMO.

You have to realized it's a super campy type horror flick. If you don't mind that kind of stuff then you'll really enjoy it. I saw it and was entertained. The fight scene in the parking garage had me almost rolling on the floor. I lost count how many times bodily fluids kept getting in that girl's mouth. And I still feel sorry for that darn cat. That was pretty fucked up.

I know! The old lady gumming the girl was hilarious....or the dream sequence in the bed!

I think the part with the anvil though might've been my favorite
