Did bourne kill neski and wife on his first mission because Brian Cox (Ward Abbott) took the CIA money and then sent bourne (illegally) to kill him so that Neski wouldn't talk?

And why exactly did abbott have conklin killed in the first movie? Landy inferrred that they had conklin killed because he couldnt find bourne. That doesnt make sense. And why did conklin have almost a mil in the bank when he died? Was he in on the whole stealing CIA money thing?

Someone please clear this up for me..

i havnt seen the movie in awhile so i might be wrong...

ya, the boss in #1 illegally(like any of its legal) had the russian oil dude and his wife killed, but it was never the cias doing. the boss in #2 had boss #1 killed? but boss #1 was in on the money deal the whole time with boss #2 along with the russian guy... if he DID have him killed it was probably for more money

*SPOILERS**

Translation: Conklin (and Ward, assumedly) had Neski killed because Neski knew about the money. Ward had Conklin killed because 1. Treadstone had to go 2. Conklin knew about the money he wanted and 3. Conklin messed up by overtraining Bourne (or something like that)

ohhhh. That makes sense. Sort of. So the reason in #2 they said that conklin had 750k in the bank was because he was in on the stolen CIA money thing?

Haven't seen the movie yet but I just read the book about 6 months ago and none of this sounds familiar. Did they stray far from the book or am I just not remembering it right?

supposedly the movie is VERY loosely based on the book so most of it is different.
Yeah....the book didn't have such sh!tty camera work. I'm sure it'd be better if you took a mild sedative before watching the movie.....too much camera shaking to build suspense. If you ask me, the director sucks at cinematics...he needs to go back to film school.
