I just really got into the atmosphere i guess. It was a little bit on the dull side, but still good enough to keep me watching. The scene where he's seen running through the streets in Nigeria is stuck in my head for good, along with that music. The last fight was also incredible.

I saw it on cable. I thought it was a good movie and gives accurate portrayal, for Hollywood, of what was going on in the US at that time. I thought that Smith did a very good job with the person Ali.

Did anyone see the ali/joe frazier documentary on HBO? Man, what an arrogant punk ali was back in the day. Frazier went out of his way to give Ali money and support to get his license back and once the license was granted Ali started calling him an Uncle Tom and the white man's champ. It was great to see Frazier whip him in the fight.

Ali tends to be seen as some sort of 60's iconic hero, but he played the race card as much as Jesse Jackson and Farakan.
