just saw ai

I just watched the movie AI, and I thought it was very, very good. I had read almost nothing about it, just seemed to remember that some people told me its reviews were so so. The funny thing is that the 20 minute tacked on ending was so obviously out of place and added by Spielberg, that I realized that was the case without having any background knowledge at all. I'd also guess a lot of the stuff at the flesh fair was Spielberg (the music video style for a lot of it, the blacklight motorcycle guys). Obviously most people probably thought the same thing, but even my little brother who is 12 was like, "what was with the last part of that? It was ouit of place." I still have no idea who had the most control over the movie, so maybe it was spielberg all the way, but I doubt it.

I watched AI when it came in theaters years ago, and didn't care much for it. The one thing that I couldn't stand is the kid never blinks. Of course, he's a robot, so it doesn't need to blink.

AI is one of the worst movies i've ever seen. I remember I watched a DVD rip SVCD in college.

After Disc 1 was done, I threw it in the trash.
After Disc 2 was done, I threw it in the trash.
After Disc 3 was done, I broke it in half then threw it in the trash.

horrible HORRIBLE movie, what a waste of time.

The last part was actually in Kubrick's original script and it seemed very much in place to me (it reminded me a lot of the ending in 2001: A Space Oddessy)

I loved the movie and its ending. The ending actually brought tears.
