Just saw a "Tuscani" in San Diego. WTF?

I was driving along and I saw an car I had never seen before... all it said was "Tuscani" with no other names, badges, or emblems. I figured it was Italian. I Wikipedia'd it to see that it was really a Hyundai Tiburon and that some were sold in Canada and South Korea by this name (it was in the predominantly Asian part of town... Mira Mesa). No wonder there weren't any other names, badges, or emblems. 😀

WTF, Hyundai? Trying to make yourself sound Italian, are we? Yeah, Hyundai = Ferrari, right. Now, I see that they are planning a Toyota/Scion-style brand spin-off around it. Yeah, that might be a good idea, conidering Hyundai's stigma.

<--- Purchased a Hyundai Elantra new 9 years ago.

No, its just like their version of being honda jdm .

if i had a tibb, i'd forsure use the T emblem, i wouldn't gett the letting but the overall Hyundai simple is fugly

It's the same thing when people put skyline on their g35's, a honda badge on their acura, or silvia on their 240sx. People think it makes their car cooler.

Why would that be? An Acura is a Honda...

I'm not sure that the GP knows that most (all?) Acura models are sold under the Honda badge in Japan?

FYI, Acura does not exist in Japan. It's just Honda there.

Yea but to me it's stupid. You bought an Acura. It's a luxury brand.

but but a g35 is a Skyline!

when any one asks what car I got fuck yea I say Skyline 350gt 😱

Must be Korean FOB. Tuscani was a successor of Tiburon introduced in 2001. In US, it was marketed as Tiburon as we all know.

In Korea, until Genesis Coupe came out this year, driving Tuscani meant you are driving better and newer (Yeah, tell me about it. It's all the same shxt) car than outdated Tiburon. It's like a ricer being so proud about his riced 2004 Civic, looking at non-modded 2001 Civic. (It's all same Civic, duh!)

Fixed.

I thought that was a trim level on the Tiburons?? I see tons of those Tuscani's up here, they look like a regular Tiburon pretty much with nicer wheels and such.
