*north and southbound traffic on scottsdale road are separated by one of those 8 inch high, ~4 feet wide concerete medians

so I was going north on scottsdale road, trying to make a left turn onto shea. There is a turn lane for the left turns, but I couldn't make it so I was on the second leftmost lane. All 3 lanes of traffic are stopped at the light, and suddenly, a car (miata?) coming southbound flies over the median and slams into a white corvette parked in the turn lane.

Both of the miata's (?) front tires were blown out, and its front end looked pretty messed up. The vette looked a lot better than the miata, but its front end was smashed up a bit
I realized that if I had made it to the turn lane, I probably would've been the one hit.

a lesson learned: you can get hit anywhere.

*edited, and sorry: no pics. didn't have a camera with me

I'm voting for middle-aged woman borrowing mid-life-crisis husband's miata for the afternoon while talking on a cell phone.

And applying makeup.

haha well it was an older guy (~60's) that was driving the miata. I rolled down my window and asked if he was okay and he just grumbled yeah and got out. The 'vette driver was like a ~25 year old guy dressed like a thug, who did happen to be on the phone (but it wasn't his fault so that doesn't really matter)
