I doubt there are thousands. I checked my entire bedroom floor and didn’t see any more. This is the first I’ve seen in 3 years.

It didn't just appear out of thin air mate... there are definitely a lot more in that building.

Call pest control.

You should see the size of a NYC Cockroach or a NYC Waterbug .. they are huge .. Same with a NYC Rat .. damm things are almost the size of a cat.

The worst is the super-active ones that spontaneously take to the air. Bad enough to scuttle around, but don't invade my personal space with aerial maneuvers.

I always feel a sense of glee if I slay one that expels a egg sac in its death throes. Next generation, thwarted.

I do have carpet in the bedroom, but hardfloor everywhere else. Im also a pretty clean person. I checked all floors/nooks tonight and didn’t see anymore.
I think on the whole most us are clean and tidy I have laminate floor in all my home, better than carpets more hygienic, but not as warm as a nice carpet, it just how to keep the critters out

It was peeking out from under my bed and I spent the past hour trying to vacuum it out. I finally was able to get it out of my apartment.

My question is, I live in a highrise building with AC wall units and have never seen a single bug over the past 3 years, but last night my AC was making noise so I removed the two cleanable filters in it overnight which stopped the noise. These filters are about 1’x1’ and slide into the AC unit vertically, with a 1” cover on the top that closes shut.

Do you guys think there’s any chance the cockroach came through there?

If you saw one, there are definitely 298109543457821 more hiding somewhere in your house. It's science.
