Probably a Non Violent Offender. Which imminently means his case gets thrown to the back burner these days, for the more violent offenders. Over Crowding in Jails, forces the law to look at it on a case by case basis, where people who've broken the law, but have shown their not an immediate threat to themselves or anyone else will get an early release based on their behavior while incarcerated.

I wish that was always the case.
There is a guy here in Florida who is sitting on a 75 years sentence for having sex with his underag girlfriend. He was 18 she was 16. They had been dating for years and having sex pretty much the whole time. His parents didn't really care because they were serious about the relationship and actually had plans on getting married. Her parents are freaks and they pressed charges against him. At the trial their daughter sat behind him in the courtroom and never spoke with her parents because she actually loves this guy and is going to wait for him. (I will try to find some information to post on this)
We also have a nice young girl named
Valessa Robinson (read the whole thing) who was convicted of third degree murder and robbery and got a 13 to 20 year sentence. She planned with her boyfriend, Adam Davis, to kill her mom. (planning it in advance is first degree which is what her boyfriend got) She held her mom down while she was being stabbed. Yet a third person, Jon Whispel, who did nothing to help kill but also did nothing to stop it is serving 25 years for his part.
