Just saw a buidling go up in flames . . ..

Started three hours ago - they're finishing it up now

And to think I used to live there!

I have pics of the apt in my mobile, but no bluetooth dongle. 🙁

Also, the first weekend when I lived there (it's a 4-story building) the ceiling caved in on the third floor because there were too many people on the fourth floor . . ..

Needless to say, the building managers are notorious for being careless asses who do *not* keep good maintenance.

edit: to make it actually "coherent" . . ..

re-edit: I'm veeery thankful I don't have to live in those piece o' shite apts, that's for sure.

I'm coming out of the woodwork for this one. I spent three hours watching that fire. I actually left and came back from Route 9, and I could see the smoke from several miles out of town.

I work about 5 minutes from there. I can't believe I couldn't see the smoke on Main St... one of my coworkers saw it from Linden on her way in...

Wow, quite a few B-N people around here...

A friend of mine told me that the building was still burning at 7 pm CDT.

He came in singing "The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire!"

Probably was a death trap anyway. I'll have to drive by on the way home from work... see if its still glowing. 🙂

Camera across town, and a broken leg makes kinda difficult to get across town in a hurry. Besides, I had a really crappy angle..

Our local news paper has a picture for now on their main page.
