There's nothing better for adding a welcome crunch to soft foods like sandwiches, burgers, tacos etc. The mistake comes in expecting it to be something it's not. Use it properly and iceberg is an excellent ingredient that enhances many dishes, use it improperly you have nobody to blame but yourself.
