Will peroxide or polysporin help to make sure it doesn't come back, or am I screwed no matter what? Too lazy/cheap to get it properly removed.

ripping it off works, or hopefully you got it all so it won't come back. just keep it clean like you would any break in the skin.

Didn't feel dead. It was protruding more than I cared for, so I meticulously ripped it off by hand.

Probably didn't get deep enough, but we'll see. I've been battling with it for a while now; ripped it off once before with no luck.

If it comes back I'll go at it with a knife this time.

Apple cider vinegar. Seriously, put some on a cotton swab and rub it around in the wound (this is going to burn) until you can see that all the roots have disappeared. Once that's done dress the wound properly.

From my experience, you MUST make sure you get all the roots to the wart out of the finger, because if this doesn't happen, the wart will make an appearance again.

That's pretty hardcore man. I've done ingrown hairs and even an ingrown nail before with tools, and I do a number on my extremely calloused feet from time to time, but never minor surgery with my bare fucking hands.

The worst I've done so far was tear up half my baby-toe. Had a blister under a blister...most awkward thing ever. Had a 13k forced march coming up so I decided to "eliminate" it. All I had on hand were a pair of nail clippers. Not pretty.

If you have the insurance, go see a dermatologist. I've been dealing with a wart on my finger for almost a year. Only after a twice a month procedure after two months - cutting it off with a razor blade, swabbing it with acid then freezing it with liquid nitrogen for 15 seconds(leaving a blood blister for week before a week), it has finally gotten under control.

Though strangely, my dermatologist talked about hypnosis as a possible therapy. Supposedly, it's as effect as the dermatologist's therapy.

I had some thing on my right middle finger on top of the second joint.
I Tried ripping it off, freezing it off, cutting it off, burning it off with a soldering iron, but none of it worked.

Finally, I decided to rip it off good, like sat there for an hour gouging chunks of shit out of my wart hole and then i followed it with a series of ice cubes, right out of the freezer.
Stick one on so it freezes the blood, leave it on till it melts off, do it again, probably used 7 ice cubes (trying to give the wart cells frostbite or something, i guess)

4 months later its still gone. It was usually back in 3 weeks before.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work too well.

You can use an OTC wart remover that contains Salicylic Acid. That is also what is used in acne treatment, so if you have any acne facewash try soaking gauze in that and keep it taped to the wart area for a few hours.
