Just replaced Alienware 15 R4 4K panel with 100% Adobe RGB panel - how to reseal front display bezel

The faceplate snaps back on, but the bottom of the front display bezel has a gap/opening exposing the LCD panel's circuitry. It's about a 1/4"-1/2" gap.

Originally, it came with a thin strip of this sticky material that is elastic and black colored.. kind of tar-like. That was used to adhere the bottom of the front display panel to the bottom (non-visible) part of the display panel, so that there is no front display panel bottom bezel gap and it's fairly flush against the screen.

Since I had to remove that tar-like material (it was about the width of the display and was maybe less than 1cm wide), I'm wondering what I can use as an equivalent/equally effective replacement so I can properly reseal the front bezel bottom?

Thanks in advance. Links to the most suitable product would be appreciated.
