Most sports drinks are the equivalent to non-carborated soda. Total scam, homey doesn't buy.

Nothing has made me happier than the fact that I have paid absolutely zero for soft drinks, sports drinks, water (wow I can't stand it when people pay for bottled water) in the past 10 months. Liquor and beer are okay, of course.

I work for a company that designs the parts the fill the bottles and puts on caps.

Guess i am lucky in that i am one of the few that really enjoys my job and i get to goto the plants once in a while to help with installs. Just thought some of you might like to see how fast they run, that machine is running around 50 percent speed which for that line is 500 bottles per minute.

I've seen those machines on that show How It's Made and those machines are insanely fast

I toured a pepsi plant once when I was in cub scouts. Nothin like a pepsi fresh off the line!

ah man...i go to coke factories for work....when they are making coke, it is magical....when they are making some fruit drink, it smells horrible....oh and the waste end....it all smells horrible at that point.

Yup. Soda has pretty much as much of the "electrolytes(aka salt)" as a sports drink.

I like an ice cold G2 (stash in freezer 1 hr before) when I'm done cutting the lawn, I get 'em for $1 at dollar general, not too bad. Bottled water I will never pay for, total waste IMO..

Yeah they don't really cost much more than soda and they're quite tasty as beverages.

Propel taste good and doesn't have much sugar at all. Water's good but it gets old to me real fast. I wish Propel was a bit less expensive, but I'm not a cheap ass. It's beyond me how people who think $500 for a video card is nothing have a problem with a 99 cent sports drink.

I use a pur filter pitcher and use the filters for 2-3 times as long as the recommended life.

I also buy HFCS-filled Coke Classic but it takes me 3 days to finish a 16-oz bottle so it doesn't hurt me too much.

Sports drinks? Nah, water or soda.
