My first install of win2k just got corrupted when I was trying to install my new v5 5500...
And I tried repairing it and it couldnt even find the folder...try fixing boot record and mbr, no luck either so I reinstalled win2k in the directory c:\win2k

Is it safe to delete c:\winnt now, and just reinstall all my progs and I should be back up and running just like before right, with no performance lost?

If you're positive that you installed Windows2k in the "win2k" folder than you can delete the "winnt" folder.

just to be safe, assuming you have enough hard drive space to spare, i'd re-install everything BEFORE deleting your old winnt directory..you can never be POSITIVE that it's safe to delete until you're back up to where you were before....besides, leaving it around for a few days isn't the end of the world...better safe than sorry

hey man if i were you i would just go through the process one more time and format/reinstall, just backup whta you want to keep, that way your not saving anyting you dont need.
