Just reinstalled UT2004.

umm i believe there is a large map pack. the last patch they released. i believe is like 6999. i could be wrong.
i know a group of 8-10 guys who play everynite. we however play Team arena master. Which is a mode of play similar to rocket arena(quake 2/3)

Man, I just found my discs lastnight and installed it and then realized I lost the play-disc. Havent seen it in years. I was so itching to play this game! 🙂

Some opponents to play against since the game is dead except for zoom instagib mod mod mod mod mod mod crazy lights low grav flyboy lolzomg edition.

I actually thought UT2004 was one of the best games of its time for professional play. A movement-based game with zero RNG, 100% player-controlled aim, and pretty good for spectators as well.

Too bad it never got the player base it deserved.

The Unreal Anthology only costs 20 bucks. It includes Unreal, Unreal 2, Unreal Tournament, and UT2004. Only one code for all the games, and you just run one install program. All on a single DVD.

FYI – Fermi based cards currently perform very poorly in UT2004. My GTX470 is way slower than my GTX285 was.

Other than community map packs I wouldn't recommend much since it all depends on your tastes and favorite game-play modes. I for one absolutely can't get enough of the Invasion mode, in fact I almost always play that, and so I downloaded a bunch of maps made for that, some of which are just not well balanced at all and were made just for fun, I also downloaded some extra Mutators like Invasion RPG or extra Invasion monsters (and monsters packs as well). I'd say that UT2004 is already very good and rock solid without a single extra mod thrown in, contrarily to UT3 (still, I like UT3 a lot with some good mods and community maps).

Hah, I enjoyed Zoom Insta-gib + Low-Grav + Double Jump 😛. It was a pretty crazy time.

That's a damn good deal. If I remember correctly, not sure though, Unreal 2 had 2 install discs, UT had 4-5 and UT2k4 had upwards of 6...

I don't know if you need the Play Disc for installation or not, but I never need to put a disc in to play. There's only one patch that people need. I'm pretty sure it's this one, the Mega Patch, which includes all earlier patches:

Some of the Onslaught servers still fill up to 32 players every night in North America. Many people are also still playing Invasion Monster Hunt RPG, which is like a non-competitive shooting gallery where you can build a character over time (the server remembers you). Good servers to play on:

Onslaught:

Omnip)o(tents server
Clan Death Warrant server

Invasion Monster Hunt RPG: Clan Death Warrant servers

What's the framerate? Is there graphics corruption?
The game settings used were 2560x1600 with 8xS and TrSS. At those settings my GTX285 scores 111.62 FPS average, while my GTX470 only gets 68.79 FPS.

There's no graphic corruption, but the GTX470 is only about half the speed of the GTX285, which is unacceptable.
