So far I am quite happy with it. The picture quality is excellent and it plays movies very well. The Blu-Ray I just watched was better than anything I've see to date. God of War 3 was also great to see.

My only question is regarding image retention and burn-in. I am already noticing a little bit of IR after playing a game demo. It doesn't look bad but it is definitely noticeable when the screen is black and room dark. I want to make sure that my gaming won't have a lasting effect on the tv. I really don't play too many console games so I'm hoping it will be fine. Usually when I get a new game I'll play 1-4 hour blocks until I beat the game (1-3 weeks) and then not use it for gaming for a several weeks. Should I be concerned about IR or burn-in with my usual rate of gaming? Will burning it in with slides or a dvd actually make a difference?

Thanks

first hundred or two hours are the most fast aging, like a reverse exponential curve:p
turn it down, contast/brightness, and just be careful that first buncha hours to not spend time with lots of static stuff.

There are various demo discs and slide shows available for download which you can throw on a DVD or USB drive and run. If I were you, I'd grab one of those and run it for a few days to break the plasma in.

Yea as long as you take care of it early on, the IR go away quickly later on. When I got my plasma I broke it in for about 100 hours using a break in DVD, and then ran it for a few more weeks with the settings turned way down. At first it would get IR easily and take quite awhile to erase with the screen wipe. I would actually run the screen wipe for a good 30-60 minutes after playing a game and it would take that long to get rid of everything. Now that I've had it for awhile and it's stabilized IR goes away extremely quickly with just some TV watching, maybe 3-5 minutes.
